When to Go
Monaco is a year round destination, but spring and early autumn offer the best balance of sunshine, atmosphere and room to explore.
April & May
For spring sunshine and Monaco at its most exciting.
Warm days, gardens in bloom and a lively calendar make late spring particularly appealing. May brings the Monaco Grand Prix, when the principality is transformed and hotel rates rise dramatically. Visit earlier in the season for a calmer experience.
June to August
For long Mediterranean days and summer glamour.
Summer brings warm evenings, beach days and Monaco’s social season in full swing. Restaurants and terraces are at their liveliest, although July and August are also among the busiest and most expensive months.
September & October
For warm weather with a gentler pace.
The Mediterranean remains inviting, the intense summer crowds begin to ease and outdoor dining continues well into autumn. September in particular offers much of the atmosphere of summer without quite the same intensity.
